Meet The Band

Russ Milford

lead vocals

Russ has been involved in music for most of his life. He started his singing career at five years old when he joined the choir at church in his hometown of Rochester, NY. Although he's a fan of all genres, his favorite band is The Beach Boys . He loves music because it brings together people of all backgrounds and encourages everyone to have a good time. 

Johnny Morton

Guitar, vocals, & Keys

Johnny is a Summerville native and has enjoyed playing in bands since he was  teenager. Starting out as a drummer in his first band at the age of 15, he learned guitar a few years later as well as piano and bass guitar. His biggest musical inspiration is The Beatles. He's currently a retired Mechanical Contractor, married with three grown children, and a very proud granddad.

Jimmy Morton

Jim Conaway
Guitar

Jim has been an active musician for over 50 years, starting with violin, piano and saxophone as a young teenager.  After seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, Jim learned the guitar and played in several bands through high school.  More recently, in the past 25 years, Jim has played electric and double bass in several concert, jazz and party bands.  Since returning to South Carolina 4 years ago, Jim’s interest in music has continued as a member of the Low Country Classics.

Kunimi Togashi

Bass

Kunimi started playing in her late teens with rock & metal bands in clubs around Tokyo, Japan. After moving to South Carolina four years ago, she began actively playing with several local bands before joining Lowcountry Classics. Her inspirations are classic rock, southern rock, country, and contemporary Christian. She is a nurse practitioner and strongly believes healing power of music. She is currently attending a seminary to deepen her understanding of God.

Dan Furr
guitar
 

Dan is from Newton, NC. He has been playing guitar since 1965, however, took a break from it while he was raising a family. He plays mostly 60’s and 70’s Rock. Also, he has played variety of music in the past, such as Adult Contemporary, Pop, Country, Southern Rock and Gospel. He loves his music, a sort of “fanatic” and would never put down his guitar or his mic if we let him! He just loves to see people having a good time with his music.
